Facts & Questions

Before

When should I shave?

Shave the day before your spray tan, shaving right before can irritate your skin and cause dark shaving spots… nobody wants that!

Why should I exfoliate?

Exfoliating before is super important because it polishes and evens out the skin by removing impurities and dead skin cells, this will give you a better overall coverage and a longer lasting tan! (Pay extra attention to dry areas such as elbows, knees and ankles!!)

On The Day

Your skin needs to be completely free of any moisturiser, perfume, deodorant or makeup!

What do I need to bring to my tanning appointment?

We provide a hair net to protect your locks and a disposable paper thong to ensure a discreet tan line… if paper thongs aren’t your thing; you are welcome to bring your own!

You should ideally bring loose, dark clothing and nothing that may rub the tan off, like bras and socks.

Afterwards

Firstly, DO NOT go in the bath! Long exposure to water will fade your spray tan. Shower using plain water, do not use shower gels, scrubs, shampoos or any type of loofah! During the first 24 hours after your treatment refrain from heavy duty exercise to avoid any sweating… when you sweat your outer cells will start to soak up water which dilutes the effect of the tan. The longer you are exposing your skin to water the lighter your tan will get.

Top tip!

After day 5, exfoliate with a soft body polish on a daily basis. This will allow your skin to absorb your moisturiser and lotions better and keep your tan and skin looking and feeling gorgeous!
